Heya! It's spring (and finally starting to feel like it, ha! 😉) and Spring Bloom Mini-Sessions are just around the corner!

I'm curious as to what days work best for folks? I'm planning on evening sessions at golden hour (in Brule, WI) during the last week of May; but want to know if folks tend to prefer weekend or weekdays? Or would it be helpful to have both options?

I'd love to hear what you think before I book the location, make an official announcement and open scheduling.

PS - It's kinda like playing chicken . . . both with weather and with peak bloom time!

I was relaxing in the dental hygienist’s comfy chair as we made polite conversation —she’s been my hygienist since before I had babes — and she’s seen my kids as toddlers and now to the present day. Each visit it’s the same exclamations over how big they’ve gotten, how much they’ve changed.⁣
⁣
⁣
Logically, I know this. But when I step back and really see my children and how they’ve grown, well, it hurts my heart a little. ⁣
⁣
⁣
It’s easy to wish away the present, to look forward to the future, when things will be “better” or“easier”( we humans are ever the optimists!); or alternatively, to remember the past through rose-colored glasses. But we only ever possess the present, the here and now. ⁣
⁣
⁣
I think my tendency to look too far forward or to linger too long on the past is part of the reason I cherish my family photos. It’s a reminder to be present now, even as the photo crystalizes a moment, a look, a touch, one that I may or may not remember. ⁣

⁣
Just like baby Elizabeth won’t remember her mother staring adoringly, but will see her love all the same. ⁣
